Graphic design for the KRAS exposition

Mignon Wildeboer (curator of Kras) approached me back in February of 2026 to help her out with her new concept. A co-creative exposition between poets and visual makers around the theme “Little Lies”.

Three people seen through a frosted glass door with vertical bars. The text on the door reads 'Keine Leugen' and '29 Mei Teatro'.

Kras took place on the 29th of May in Teatro/KABUL À GoGo. Their cute little Cafe Oke got turned into a creative space that exposed fantastic work by young, Utrecht-based artists. Let me bring you along the journey of this project starting with the logo.

early posters

After receiving the briefing, I started drawing up some early posters. I wanted to capture Mignon’s vision by connecting her concept with nature and art (like the calligrapahy pen or the trees).

A stylized fish graphic with purple and white colors, featuring the word 'XTRAS' integrated into the fish design.
Close-up of a child's face with sketchy marker artwork, focusing on an eye and a hand holding a pencil or marker near the eye.
Event poster with purple background and abstract designs. Text includes 'Kras', 'Kleine Leugens', 'Co-Creatieve Expositie', '29 Mei', '20.00-23.00', and 'Teatro'.

The final poster was this one right here. Mignon gave her approval so we went out to touch some grass and hang it everywhere. In my opinion, it perfectly combines readibility with a capturing, unique style that solidifies Kras as a strong exposition.

A collage of photos and posters promoting 'Kras' and 'Kleine Leugens,' a theatrical event at Teatro Utrecht on May 29th, featuring images of young women and text details about the event.
Purple stylized logo with the word "KRAS" integrated into its body, set against a black background.
A woman holding a microphone appears to be speaking or singing at a gathering. There are several people seated and standing around, some listening attentively. The setting looks like an indoor event or party with dim lighting and artificial ceiling lights.
Event poster for 'Kras', a co-creative expositie featuring multiple artists and beeld makers, scheduled on May 29th from 8 PM to 11 PM at Teatro in Utrecht. The poster has a predominantly purple background with black and white text.
A purple-themed promotional poster for an event called 'TEATRO' featuring co-creative expressive poetry and visual artists. The date is May 29, with the time from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The poster has abstract and silhouette images, including a whale with the words 'lere leugentes' on it and a background of trees and water with purple and black tones. The bottom includes a list of artists involved.

logo

For the logo, I wanted something sketch-like, handrawn. I went for a calligraphy pen with the name of the exposition wrapping around the head. Mignon asked for purple and we landed on this soft, catchy purple color for all the branding.

graphic

I took a picture of my friend’s sweater and over-edited it in Photoshop te create a visual that could be used for a variety of brand elements. I like texture and patterns and try to use them as much as I can in my designs.

website poster

One poster had to be made for the website of KABUL À GoGo and I went for this one. A simple visual that combines the graphic with the logo and text.
